The Wedgeport Nature Trail is approximately 5km stacked loop trail system which begins at the
Near LeBlanc's Boat Builders in Wedgeport. The trail itself varies from a 4ft. wide tread way
of natural duff to a gravel road. You will pass through forests of mixed woods, the
Tusket River estuary, barrier beach ponds, eel grass mud flats, coastal marshes, sandy
and rocky shores, growths of sea plants, the Tusket Islands, a tree harvest area and a
Christmas tree farm.

The trail also provides opportunities to view a variety of wildlife. Great Black Backed
and Herring Gulls, Terns, Red Squirrel and a variety of song birds to name a few. The
trail provides a number of access points with parking, and
look-off areas. You can choose to walk the entire trail or do only a small section.
Wooden trail markers point the way.
