North East Point Beach

Our Island is small but worth coming to see.

We are joined to the mainland at Barrington Passage by a beautiful causeway 3/4 of a mile long.

As you drive onto our Island, on Route 330, let the peacefulness surround you. No hustle, no bustle, just relax and explore at your own pace.

The Southern side of the island is buffered by long, white sandy beaches, most of them running conclusively along. Take off your shoes and let the super fine sand sift through your toes, listen to the cry of a long seagull overhead, or watch large seals sunning themselves on the rocks.

We are the lobster capital of Nova Scotia, and famous for our Cape Sable Island Fishing Boats. Come, and talk to the local boat builders, and fishermen, and learn about life on an island and what it is like to work on the sea.

Our Island is small, but greetings to you is large!
