| Information | Northside Dance was established 20 years ago under the direction of Kim Roper. Kim believes that every child has the right to know how to achieve control of their body in order that they may use it for expression of themselves. Even if they can never carry their efforts far enough to realize dance in its highest form, they may experience the sheer joy and sense of freedom to which every human is entitled. If the interest in giving instruction in dance is to produce dancers only, then dance as a creative and pleasurable art is doomed. Dance teaches so much more than movement. The friendships and lessons will last a lifetime. |
