Information The Dr. Annie Hamilton Chapter was organized in 1985 in Brookfield, Nova Scotia. The name was chosen to honour Dr. Annie Hamilton, a native of Brookfield. She was born in 1866 and was the first female to graduate from Dalhousie Medical School with both a Doctor of Medicine and Master of Surgery degrees. She graduated in 1894. In 1903 Dr. Hamilton went to China as a missionary. She never returned to Brookfield and died in Shanghai in 1941. Service club helping at community events. The provincial Chapter is in Halifax. Contribute to national and provincial projects.
