We are a fully accessible, barrier free establishment offering year-round service, 7 days a week from 9am to 9pm. To find more information Masstown Market please click here  Bass River – Veterans Memorial Site The Veterans Memorial Park consists of three gardens, which, when combined, take the form of a Celtic flower. The Garden of Sorrows is a sterile replica of the horrific trenches of WWI. Consisting of 1,100 sandbags which line this 100-foot area, it provides a unique opportunity for the visitor to experience the illusion of stepping down into a trench. An upturned soldier's helmet is a stark reminder of the sacrifices made by so many. Please visit their website for more information here  Mi'kmawey Debert Interpretive Trail The 4.4 km trail is available to the public year-round and takes about 75 minutes to hike. Due to its rugged nature the trail does not accommodate wheeled vehicles. Parking is available and temporary facilities assist visitors from May to October. The trail is located fifteen minutes from Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada, just off Exit 13 of the Trans Canada Highway 104. Learn the history about this amazing trail. Picture an ice-age landscape with mastodons, caribou, and giant beavers wandering over the tundra that covered Mi’kma’ki more than 11,000 years ago. Imagine communities of people who lived at the base of the Cobequid Mountains for more than a thousand years. This is the story of the Mi’kmawey Debert Interpretive Trail.
