Information Hikers are advised to read and consider the Cobequid Eco-Trails Society's Trail Users' Checklist before heading into the Gully Lake Wilderness Area.
The Yellow Birch Trail is a linear .85 km soil footpath leading to some of the other trails in the system, with direct access from the Kemptown Road trail head/parking lot, making it a great short hike or a connector to longer routes. It follows through a hardwood forest with wild flowers, mosses, lichens and bridges to cross small brooks.
