Description & Services
Information | The Chignecto Glooscap Snowmobile Association is located in Cumberland County and accepts responsibility for the management and maintenance of approximately 300 kilometers of prime snowmobile trails in the Chignecto Isthmus area. These multi-use trails are also used for other winter sports such as skiing and snowshoeing. Additionally, they are used by ATV’s, hikers, hunters, and fishermen during the months of poor snow conditions. The Chignecto Glooscap Snowmobile Association operates in accordance with the policies and directives promulgated by the Snowmobile Association of Nova Scotia (SANS) and the provincial Joint Stocks of Companies (Joint Stock). The association, made up of a few highly dedicated volunteers, does an exceptional amount of work to ensure that trails are bushed, maintained, signed, mapped, GPS’d, and groomed on a required basis to ensure that users' riding experiences in their area of responsibility is both safe and enjoyable. |
Meetings | First Wednesday of the month from October to April/May. |
