Description & Services
Information Tantramar Pony Club is a branch of the Canadian Pony Club. CPC's mandate is to foster character, loyalty and sportsmanship in young people aged 7 to 25 and help them learn safety, excellent horse care and riding proficiency. Owning a horse is not a requirement. As members gain knowledge and skills through education at the branch level, they have the option of participating in regional activities and competitions, achieving standardized test levels and sometimes National and International exchanges.
Although part of the Nova Scotia Pony Club Region, because of our unique location, this club attracts members from both sides of the Nova Scotia/New Brunswick border. While most of their Pony Club activity takes place in Nova Scotia, we are fortunate to be close to both NB and PEI Pony Club branches and have often joined with them in Pony Club activities.
In 2017 Tantramar Branch had seven active members who met for stable management sessions with Gay Hansen and riding lessons with Dawn Helm at Galloway Stables in Port Howe, NS.
