H.A.R.T. came to being in February of 2008. Since that time, we have rescued over 1,700 cats and kittens–and even a few dogs, puppies, squirrels, and birds.
We try to focus on HOMELESS cats and kittens. Although we have taken many from homes that were not ideal, due to unfortunate circumstances, we prefer to focus on homeless cats– as these are the animals who are often suffering most acutely. We have a foster home in Dartmouth where we put very old senior cats that have special circumstances.
We are ALWAYS looking for volunteers to help with any of the following and much much MORE!
- Taking rescues to vet appointments
- Help with fundraising events
- Making cat/kitten toys
- Marketing help
- Creating flyers/posters
- Fostering kittens
...the list goes on.
Send us an email to discuss how you can help!
