Description & Services

Information

The Booker School is an independent, non-profit, school founded by parents. Built on integrity and respect, The Booker School is a place where every student is inspired to become an expert learner, a person of character and principle, an individual focused on developing their unique gifts and passion.

The Booker offers a supportive and caring environment. Excellence and confidence are developed through our creative and challenging academic curriculum with emphasis on guided inquiry-based learning. We engage the student in the process of learning rather than just receiving the content and we aim to develop students who are enthusiastic life-long learners and engaged citizens.

We want our children thrive in a dynamic world. For this reason The Booker School utilizes a curriculum generously gifted by Stratford Hall, one of Canada’s finest International Baccalaureate schools. We are proud of the unique opportunities we’ve created by being a small, independent school and were featured in Progress Magazine. Recently, the Booker was congratulated by the Nova Scotia House of Assembly for “it’s innovation in serving the municipality as a community resource.”
