Description & Services
Information Description & Services -
Through the Years Day Care & Community Centre is a nonprofit charitable organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. We are a licensed child care centre for 90 children between the ages of 5 months and 12 years of age. We operate five days a week, year-round and are open from 6:30am-6:00pm. After Day Care hours and on weekends we offer community centre programs like card socials, fitness classes, girl Guides, and have available rental space for others to use for parties or meetings.
Philosophy -
The mission of Through the Years is to provide for positive social and physical growth of the community through our programs, services and experiences.
The Day Care strives to do this by providing a safe and happy environment for children who attend. The Day Care will be a place where they can learn and grow physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially at their own pace. Children learn through play and benefit from a structured, yet flexible schedule and program.
The activities at the Centre will stimulate positive sensory-motor development, language development, cognitive development and social skills. The development and encouragement of a strong self-esteem is also a major goal in the daily program at our centre. Children will be taught to respect each other, adults and property. We believe children in their own right are individuals and need to be seen and treated as individuals. We promise to treat your child with respect and dignity and help them be the best they can be.
