The society also strives educate the public and responsible pet ownership and promotes the spaying and neutering of pets.
About Us:
S.H.A.I.D., standing for Sheltering Helpless Animals In Distress, is a small shelter located near Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. We are a non - profit organization registered with the Canada Revenue agency. Over the years, S.H.A.I.D. has evolved into a no kill shelter where animals do not have time limits and are only euthanized for serious medical conditions or severe aggression issues, making them unadoptable.
Hours Open daily to the public 11 am to 3 pm Monday to Sunday
