| Information | Good Beginnings provides free peer support for parents with newborns. Having a new baby can be overwhelming, and Good Beginnings can help with those feelings. Having a new baby is supposed to be a positive and happy time in your life. Good Beginnings offers peer support to parents with babies up to one year of age. The program matches more experienced parents with new parents who would appreciate some social contact and reassurance that things are going okay. Volunteers go through training with VON prior to being matched with new parents. Volunteers are available to: • Provide social contact when you are feeling isolated and/or overwhelmed • Share their knowledge and past experiences with you to help you through this exciting but challenging time If you are interested in being a Good Beginnings Volunteer please contact the Coordinator of Community Support at 902-624-0318. |
