|Information||This challenge is for everyone! Great for workplaces to increase staff wellness or for friends to get together. Walking has numerous physical and mental health
benefits, which can be felt with as little as 30 minutes of walking each day. We believe you can meet this walking goal, and we want to help you do so! The best part is you can walk in your neighborhood or your rural roads and it does not cost money. If the weather is bad outside, you can even walk in place in your living room. This walking challenge is a great place to begin to build endurance and stamina.
Challenge runs from:
Monday, September 21 - November 4 (6 weeks)
Whether you consider yourself a beginner, or more experienced walker, this challenge is for you!
We are challenging our beginner participants to work towards 5,000 steps a day of moderate aerobic activity. For our more experienced walkers, we are challenging them to get 10,000 steps a day of moderate and vigorous activity.

1) All you need to do to participate is register at modl.ca/WalkingChallenge
2)When you receive your confirmation of registration, please follow the directions on downloading the MOVE SPRING app and signing up for this FREE and fun walking challenge.
Don’t have access to the app? Email Karen at firstname.lastname@example.org to register and we will arrange for you to receive a log sheet and pedometer so you can start tracking your steps.
