Information  
Hants West Wildlife's main focus is to encourage people to participate in outdoor nature related activities. 
 
Programs we offer: 
~Nova Scotia Learn 2 Fish Program (for elementary aged students) 
~Nesting Box Program ( for elementary aged students) 
~Fish Friends Program (for elementary aged students) 
~NS Hunter Education Course (a hands-on type course) 
~Canadian Firearms Safety Course (offered on a regular basis) 
~Special instruction on basic outdoor survival, compass and stories about wildlife. 
 
Other services and events: 
~Aside from schools, we work with other youth groups to do special programs with the NS Departments of Natural Resources and Sport Fishing. 
~Provide the use of our building free to youth groups with the inclusion of our audio visual equipment, full kitchen and BBQ grills. 
~Give R a Try fishing free event at St Croix Pond on the first weekend ( Sat.) in June. Gear and a barbecue are provided. This event is part of the NS Government Free Fishing Weekend during which no license is required. The Pond will be well stocked! 
~Stock local ponds with trout. 
 
*As youth and adult outdoor educators, all members of the HWWA have full government required safety checks (criminal record and child abuse checks).

Meetings Regular meetings: 1st Wednesday of each month: 7:00 pm 
Other meetings, such as special event planning, as required.
Accessibility Our building complies with NS rules and regulations and is barrier free, wheelchair accessible, heated and has washroom facilities. Parking on site. The building is usually accessible year round by way of a paved maintained public road and a gravel driveway.
