Description & Services
Information The Gaetz Brook Greenway (GBG) is a 7.4 km greenway from East Chezzetcook to Musquodoboit Harbour along the abandoned rail bed.

The Greenway is an active transportation route and therefore is non-motorized. It offers beautiful vistas along waterways including brooks and lakes.

This greenway is under the final stags of construction to be officially open in the Spring of 2020. The beautiful section of trail provides opportunities to see the natural environment and is an historically significant asset. It provides visitors and community members with a valuable addition to the community to walk, cycle, hike, snow show and cross country ski - all forms of active transportation. Sections of the Brook at the East Chezzetcook /Brookside Lane entrance is a popular fishing area.

There are four places to enter - the East Chezzetcook Rd at Brookside Lane; the Nova Scotia Legion in Gaetz Brook, the Gaetz Brook Jr. High School and a parking lot near Exit 22 off the #107 Highway.
