Description & Services

Information The museum has three rooms packed with artifacts from the Great War up to the present time. A variety of badges and medals can be found on display dating back to the First World War, as well as lithographs by Group of Seven artist Arthur Lismer.

The war banner from a town in Belgium is a prized possession received by the North Novas for liberating them from the Germans in 1944. In addition, the museum proudly displays the battle flag of the North Nova Scotia Highlanders, the first Canadian flag to fly on German soil in World War Two. Art

The museum has recently restored its 1942 Willys WWII Jeep, which is available for rides by the public for a $20 donation for adults, and $5 for youths aged 10-17. There is a wide array of unique photographs, as well as mannequin displays of various uniforms, including the dress for band members of the Pipes and Drums through the sixties up until the eighties and different uniforms worn during the First and Second World War.
Hours Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm or by appointment.
