|Description & Services|
|Information||More than 30% of adults in our area have less than a grade nine education and most of these adults read, write and do math at approximately a grade six level. Family, friends and neighbours struggle every day because they are not able to read, write or do simple math. Letters are not read, forms are not completed, children’s homework is not corrected and report cards are not understood. These are everyday activities with which too many adults struggle.
The Lunenburg County Adult Learning Network (LCALN) is striving to provide the opportunities for these adults – your family and friends – to learn. We are a non-profit, charitable organization focused on literacy. We seek out the cooperation, support and generosity of the community to gather the resources needed to improve literacy.
