Description & Services

Information The Kings County Photography Club is a Kentville-based amateur photo club that welcomes hobbyists of all skill levels, from novice to expert. No prior experience is necessary, just a love for photography.

We meet the first Wednesday evening of each month at NSCC Kingstec, and we also organize field trips throughout the year. Each 2-hour meeting typically includes a presentation or workshop, a showcase of another member’s work, and a review of a creative “homework” assignment from the last month. Presenters may be photography professionals or our own club members sharing their expertise.

Presentations may be about technical or artistic aspects of photography. Meetings vary from lecture/slide presentations, competitions, and workshop nights where members share their particular skills. Organized club outings throughout the year) provide an opportunity to apply new found skills and also interact and learn from other members. Other nearby clubs are often invited to join the outings.

There is a 5 person executive which organizes club activities, and encourages member input, friendliness, learning and photography skills.

New members are always welcome, and we encourage you to attend a meeting for free to see if you enjoy the club.

The club has a web site at https://kcphotoclub.org/ and a Facebook page where members can post interesting photos or photography topics, at https://www.facebook.com/groups/kcphotoclub/. The club's email address is kings.photography.club@gmail.com.
Dates Jan-Jun; Sep-Dec
Meetings First Wednesday evening of each month at 7pm, except July and August.

All who attend the meeting are required to sign in at the Commissionaire's desk and sign out when departing.
