Description & Services

Information The Rotary Club of Kentville was chartered in 1924 and has been an active and vibrant club ever since. Our members work hard to make a difference in the local community and internationally. Their dedication and enthusiasm help not only in accomplishing our goals, but in having some fun along the way.

What is Rotary?
Rotary is a global network of community volunteers. Rotary club members are business, professional and community leaders in your locality who meet regularly to plan and implement community service activities and network with other professionals. For those interested, members can also choose to become involved in international humanitarian service efforts. More than 1.2 million men and women in over 200 countries and geographical areas belong to over 33,000 Rotary clubs. Rotary builds international understanding through scholarships, exchange programs and humanitarian grants. Throughout the world, Rotary clubs participate in a broad range of educational, intercultural and humanitarian activities designed to improve the lives of others.

Rotary Clubs of Kings County Charitable Foundation:
The purpose of the Foundation is to accumulate an endowment fund to provide a permanent source of funding for humanitarian projects delivered through the Rotary Clubs of Kings County. Since the final approval from Rotary International was received and the Foundation was granted Registered Charity status in 2007, the Foundation has accumulated more than $1,500,000 and disperses over $60,000 each year.

Benefits of Membership:
As a Rotarian you will have the opportunity to lend a hand, help build better communities, reach around the world to fulfill needs (some as basic as clean running water), support the Peace Scholarship program providing "Peace through Service" and/or take advantage of participating in a worldwide friendship exchange. As a Rotarian you will experience personal development, professional and business networking and make friendships that will last a lifetime.
