Description & Services

Information We welcome you to worship with us on Sunday mornings at 11:00 at our beautiful and historic church at the corner of Main and Church streets in the heart of Parrsboro. From January until Easter, we worship next door at St. George's Hall. The Hall has a full kitchen and also is used for church suppers, bazaars, fundraisers, and community events such as the Parrsboro Farmers' Market. It provides a home for our community Food Bank and is available to groups and individuals for rentals. Three other churches are part of our parish: Holy Trinity in Fox River, St. Mark's in Moose River, and Christ Church in West Bay. We share ministry with All Saints Church in Springhill. As a welcoming Christian community, we also offer opportunities for Bible study and spiritual development.
During this time of COVID-19, we may not always be able to hold in-person services. Opportunities for worship and reflection are posted regularly on our Facebook page. Please visit our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/parrsboronovascotia) and our Website (www.parrsboroanglicans.com) for information and updates.
Eligibility We strive to be an open and welcoming Christian community in the Anglican tradition.
Meetings Unless prevented by COVID-19 restrictions, services are held at St. George's on Sunday mornings at 11:00--Morning Prayer, led by our Lay Ministers on the first and third Sundays of the month; Holy Communion, celebrated by our rector, the Rev. Dr. Brian Spence, on the second and fourth Sundays. When there is a fifth Sunday in the month, we hold a joint service and pot-luck lunch with All Saints, Springhill. Services are also held at Holy Trinity, Fox River; St. Mark's, Moose River; and at Christ Church, West Bay several times each year. Bible Study series are held throughout the year. Please visit our Facebook page for more details and updates (www.facebook.com/parrsboronovascotia).
Accessibility The main entrances to St. George's church and hall have ramps for wheelchair access. An accessible washroom is available in St. George's Hall.
