Description & Services
Information Slate Youth Centre, the youth division of Archway Counselling, is a gathering place for youths aged 10-18 where they can relax and recharge after a day at school or work, and relate in positive and encouraging ways with adult volunteers and other youth. Whether they are participating in group cooking sessions, working on art projects, watching movies, playing video games, or surfing the web, Slate teens are engaged by adult volunteers who encourage them to learn valuable life skills, contribute to the community, and make healthy decisions. Volunteers are committed to making each teen feel welcome, appreciated, and valued both as an individual and as part of the community. Slate‚Äôs drop-in times and programs are offered free-of-charge and special events (camping, day trips, etc.) are offered at reduced cost to decrease financial barriers.

Drop-in Hours (ages 10-18): 
Mondays: 3:30-5:30 
Thursdays: 3:30-8:00 
Fridays: 3:30-9:00 
Creative Community (coffee, conversation, and creating art together): Thursdays 3:30-5:00 (ages 13-21) 
Swords and Sorcery (role playing tabletop game) Thursdays 6:00-8:00 (ages 10-110)
