Description & Services
The Cradle of Hockey!
This scenic area is the site of the earliest recorded evidence of hockey which was first played in North America in 1800.
Long before Olympic glory and the cheering of sold-out crowds, hockey was just a game that children from Windsor, Nova Scotia invented to play on Long Pond. Two hundred years later, hockey is more than Canada's national winter sport- it's our national passion.
Join us on each winter in Windsor, Nova Scotia for a historic hockey showdown on the pond where the sport was born.
Spectators get in free to watch the Long Pond Heritage Classic games!
Our first year was an amazing experience for all those involved, and we guarantee that each year will be an event that no hockey fan will want to miss.
Visit Long Pond Heritage Classic webpage and/or Facebook for all details.
