Information | This trail is 2.5 km interpretive loop around Laytons Lake. There are many species of birds and other wildlife to see. Hiking, wildlife observation and cross county skiing are permitted. Refer to Public Notice signage posted on site for permitted and prohibited activities. Directions: Take exit #3 off highway 104. Turn left onto the Southampton Road (from Truro, or right from New Brunswick) and drive towards Nappan. A grey and black Government of Canada sign marks the entrance 3 km past the Wandlyn Inn. The boundary of the National Wildlife Area is marked with signs depicting a "loon." A blue Migratory Bird Sanctuary sign marks the entrance 3 km past the Wandlyn Inn.
