Description & Services

Information In addition to their regular Sunday worship services, Springhill Baptist Church has several groups that gather for church-related activities. (For times, please meet above in the section labelled "Meetings".)
Adult Bible Class is an interactive Bible Study for adults, facilitated by Craig McCormick. (Childcare is provided for children ages 4 to grade 6.)
Thursday Evening Prayer and Bible Study is open to everyone. The evening begins with prayer, which is followed by a lesson. The lessons follow a video series or a selection of topics. Facilitated discussion then takes place, and everyone has a chance to participate and share.
Gameplan: Men's Fellowship is a group of men who want to grow as husbands, fathers, leaders, and in the life situations in which they have been placed. Each evening includes dessert, inspiring teaching, and mutual encouragement. All men are invited to attend.
Rodney Prayer Pod is a women's group where everyone is welcome. The meetings begin with socializing, coffee and tea, followed by a brief devotional. There is then a time for prayer – both for personal and other concerns. Privacy is maintained in the Prayer Pod.
The Willing Workers are a group of dedicated, fun-loving women who work together to put on church suppers, cater to funerals and other events, and raise funds for special projects. Meetings usually consist of a lunch, devotional, fun and fellowship, and planning for upcoming events. Women of all ages are welcome.
Women's Missionary Society is a mission group where all members are interested in mission study at home and abroad. Meetings begin with devotions and mission study and offerings for The Sharing Way and Mite Boxes are collected. Throughout the year, members write to college students as well as host a “Little Lights” party for young children. WMS welcomes all women who have an interest in missions to attend monthly meetings.
The Springhill Baptist Choir prepares songs for use in the Sunday morning worship services. It is open to anyone 14 years or older, no experience necessary.
Springhill Baptist’s Praise Team – SALVATION is a group of singers and musicians whose passion is leading worship. This is an avenue for those interested in learning the newest praise songs for use in congregational singing, as well as rehearsing and mastering repertoire for concert use by the group. Adults who love to sing and/or play an instrument are welcome to attend rehearsals.
High School Sunday School Class is for youth to study the Bible interactively with their teacher. They also are welcome to take part in the special drama presentation put on each month by a group called The Young Kingdom Players.
Blaze Youth is a group of youth from grades 7 to 12. Meetings include games and/or sports, a choice of activities to suit their skills and interests, snacks, insightful talks and discussion of all questions. Blaze provides opportunities for outreach and service to others. Excursions and weekend retreats are held regularly.
