| Information | What is Adult Learning Opportunities? Adult Learning Opportunities (ALO) is a non-profit organization that provides free education programs to adults in Lunenburg Country Who can be a learner at ALO? ALO is FREE for adults 18 and over, living in Lunenburg County, who are not currently in school and have a valid SIN. What can you expect at ALO? Hands on learning Small classes Focus on reading, writing, math, CAEC (formally GED) and job skills Motivated instructors Accessible and adaptable Always judgement free! How do you get started? Reach out by email, phone call, text, or coming into the learning space Make an appointment for a learning assessment (this will help us understand what you know and where you need support, making sure you are getting the best service!) During your appointment, we will register you – Please bring your Social Insurance Number (SIN) with you! Sign up for a class and come when you can! We provide all of the supplies you need, but feel free to bring any devices or supplies you’d like What programs do we offer? ALO works under the E3 Framework. E3 stands for Education, Essential Skills, and Empowerment |
