Description & Services
Just West of Kentville is the Kentville Migratory Bird Sanctuary, a 200 hectare protected zone. 
Hikers can access the sanctuary via the parking lot of the Evergreen Home for Special Care. The entry point can be found at the back corner of the parking lot, providing access to both the Kentville Rails to Trail and the sanctuary trails. 
The abundance of plant and wildlife in the sanctuary makes it a perfect spot for birdwatchers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. During late summer and early fall, waterfowl gather in high numbers during migration. 
Hunting is not permitted in this area.
